Barrel design

We have to design barrels or crates that matches the theme of our level, my level is an under ground cave and when I was designing these barrels, what I had in mind was old, rusty, dirty and maybe even broken.
The colors I chose for the regular barrel was earth tones as I pictured a wooden barrel. My explosive and dangerous barrel preferably would be red but I want to throw in rust and scratches. The last picture was a few crates and barrels made in maya, it was quick and easy. I would be posting updates on my level design soon!

Ridge Racer Unbounded



The opening sequence for a racing game I picked is Ridge Racer Unbounded. I think this is an awesome video because the video starts off with an opening setting of your race course with dialogue in the background building suspense. Not only the intro introduces the race track, it also show off its art assets. As the scene changes, it brings us into the city. The best part of this video is the cars racing and crashing into each other in slow motion mode. Cars fly into breakable things and crashing into pillars. I really like the angles that show the front of 2 cars colliding into each other and how it moves really slowly when the car is in the air.

Blocking out Character assets before bringing it into Zbrush




I'm blocking out a treasure hunter character before bring it into zbrush, I'm really excited to get into Zbrush, its going to be so much fun doing the folds, on the last image, I made progress by giving him shoes and a wrist band.

Vehicle modelling done!



This is the final end product of my treasure hunter jeep! it has been a long process but I learnt so much from it. I enjoyed texturing it, i'l do more modelling and texturing soon when I have a break from school! :D
